I'm feeling electric tonight, cruising down the coast going 'bout 99

When I was in high school, I was never really too in to nail polish. Sure, I painted them with whatever I had lying around the house every once in a while, but most of the time, I could never be bothered. That all changed in University, and I can't even pinpoint the reason why! I just remember that one day, I snapped up 6 polishes and I've been hooked ever since.

Tiffany from ObsessedLook reached out to me to try out two colours from Essie's 2014 Resort Fling collection, and I couldn't resist. When it comes to a great quality nail polish with a wide range of colours, Essie is definitely the brand that comes to mind. The two colours I chose were Find me an Oasis and Resort Fling.

Find Me an Oasis is a a gorgeous white-based blue creme. As with all white-based polishes, application can be tricky! It's veerrryy easy to make mistakes, so I suggest going slow and steady. This is such a pretty pastel colour that's different from your typical pale pinks and lilacs. I applied two thin coats and one thick one to ensure a super opaque finish.

Resort Fling is a sheer orange jelly. It's got fantastic shine to it and a dream to apply. However, I do wish it wasn't so sheer! What you're looking it is two thin coats followed by two thick coats, and you can still see the whites of my finger nails. This is still a fun punch of colour, but if you enjoy a more opaque polish, then I'd suggest you skip this one.

ObsessedLook offers free shipping within Canada with no minimum purchase.. and the best part is that they not only sell individual polishes, but collections as well!
