This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you

I was super excited to see the latest Loose Button x Steven & Chris Luxe Box in my mailbox last week and quickly tore it open so I could get my grubby hands on the goods inside. One thing I noticed right away: the contents of the Luxe Box were tucked safely inside a satin-y drawstring bag, which would also be great to reuse for travel essentials. A little booklet was provided to describe the items that you could be receiving in your Luxe Box. and Steven & Chris' recommendations on how to use each product. I stress the word 'could,' because not every item that was in the booklet was provided. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. The extra tips were nice, but I had gotten quite excited by certain items and felt let down when I didn't find them in my box.

Nevertheless, on to my first impression review:

Moroccanoil Body Buff - The most important factor in supporting any look or outfit is having glowing and radiant skin from top to bottom. We recommend using [this] to remove the dull winter skin and reveal the glowing radiance underneath.

I love the orange/citrus-y scent to this! I've never used a body scrub before, and I like how gritty this one feels. You can mix a little bit more water in to this when using it in the shower for a less harsh scrub. True to the Morrocanoil hype, this product left my skin feeling uber soft. I'm ready for some leg-baring weather!

Kerastase Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo - This sulfate-free protective shampoo for colour-treated hair preserves colour depth and shine for up to 40 days. Go ahead and shine with all your mane!

I haven't used this yet as it really irks me when there isn't a matching conditioner. Most brands suggest that you use the accompanying conditioner to get the full effect, but I won't be able to do that here unless I purchase the conditioner on my own. It has a really strong perfume scent.

Lancome Genefique Youth Activating Serum - We are big advocates on skincare and believe that beauty stems from within. Most of us, juggling between different schedules and committing to different priorities in life are always looking for the perfect skincare to enhance our skin. This is why we love [this]. It smooths and revitalizes your skin while giving you a health glow.

This is the third time I've received this sample, but I am definitely not complaining. This product is expensive. As I've mentioned before, this serum absorbs quickly, so you have to work fast. I apply this in the morning before my moisturizer and I find that I no longer have dry patches on my cheeks like I normally do during Canadian winters.

Calvin Klein Eternity

There's not much I can say about this because there was no description in the booklet! I'm not a fan of Calvin Klein scents, so this rollerball will most likely be given to a family member.

Blue Lagoon Rich Nourishing Cream

Again, no description was given in the booklet. I used this cream on my face after a shower, and I'm not quite sure how I like it. It did the job of moisturizing, but it was pretty thick and I felt like I had to really rub at my face to make sure it sunk in.

Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide

Another item with no description! This is a serum that is supposed to help with dry ends, which is a much needed product for me. My hair is coloured, and despite not using irons very often, I find that some days, my ends are parched. There is a strong perfume smell, but it's very light weight and a little goes a long way.

Cosmetic Blending Sponge

There was no description provided, but I'm pretty sure everyone would recognize this product regardless. I purchased the Beauty Blender at IMATS last year and I love it. It'll be nice to give it a bit of a break now that I have this one! Personally, I don't think the 'innovative' shape of the sponge makes a big difference.

Pandora's Eyes Mascara in Black - Spice up those lashes! This Spring, the emphasis is not on our upper lashes but on our bottom lashes. Instead of layering mascara on your upper lashes, opt for your lower lashes instead.

I'm not a huge fan of the wand - it's tapers in to a very subtle cone shape and feels quite long and unruly in my grip. It's on the thin side, which works for my lower lashes. I've been looking for a good mascara that won't smudge when applied to my lower lashes, and unfortunately, this one didn't surprise me. It's a decent mascara though, and I like using it before my Maybelline Voluminous False Lashes to separate my lashes.

Loose Button also introduced Anthia's Lounge with this Luxe Box. It's a place where beauty lovers can gather to review the products that they received in their Luxe Box.

If I were to rate the contents of the box, I would give it a 4.5/8. I'm a bit confused about why I have products in my box that were not listed in the pamphlet. My disappointment was made double-y so because I would've really liked some of the other items mentioned in the Spring Trends booklet! I remain impressed by their packaging -- very elegant in a simple, understated way. As I've previously mentioned, the box is very sturdy which makes it great to re-use as storage. My last one is housing my small jewelry boxes, and this one will be used to hold extra make-up brushes.
