Meet the latest addition to my humble bag collection: the Alexander Wang Rockie in Mercury.
I first laid eyes on this style back in the summer in a beautiful red colour, Cayenne.. and of course, by the time that I realized I really wanted it, it was six months later and completely sold out. I scoured the web in hopes of finding one in stock somewhere, and my search proved fruitful... but I still didn't take the plunge. I've always wanted to add a red bag to my collection, and while the Cayenne is gorgeous, it just wasn't THE red bag.
After watching the auction end on eBay and feeling a twinge of sadness and regret, I came across the Mercury (which was also sold out everywhere) and I knew that this was definitely the one. I found mine on eBay at a great discount, and of course, no tax! In Ontario, HST is a whopping 13%, so that was a savings in itself! In the end, it wasn't what I was originally searching for, but I couldn't be happier.
If you decide to purchase a bag from eBay, make sure to get it authenticated via The Purse Forum. The ladies there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in distinguishing fakes.

I love the color on your Rockie bag!! The entire outfit is so polished but casual. Ugh, you and you're awesomeness. Also your bangs look A-Ma-zing.
Fun, but also tiring! I try to be very thorough when making large purchases, which means tons and tons of researching! However, in the end, it's always worth it :).
I have to admit that I'm not a Wang fan, but that purse (in that color, in that size) is UBER CUTE!!!! :D Can it fit a lot of stuff? :)

i love the rockie! is it a lot lighter than the rocco? i wanted the rocco, but it was just too heavy for me... :(
btw, i totally know what you mean by "THE red bag." i'm obsessed with red bag, but definitely has the be right shade.

I don't normally stuff my small bags, but it easily fits a long wallet, phone, keys, a planner, and some miscellaneous makeup items!

When I was researching the bags, I held both the Rocco and Rockie in each hand, and the Rockie was significantly lighter! Don't let that fool you though; it is still a pretty heavy bag, especially if you wear it cross body or on your shoulder, and even more especially so if you tend to pack your bags full!
