Got treasures in my mind but couldn't open up my own vault

PN was quite worried when I decided to wear this top to a friend's surprise birthday party, but two cakes and some pizza later, I managed to come out stain free! I did end up regretting the choice of pants and shoes when we decided to play indoor beach volleyball later on that night. Pulling on tight pants after washing your feet and legs should be a legitimate workout routine!

We get together, but separate's always better when there's feelings involved

Skipped the gym today to have a dinner date after work with PN at Trio, followed by dessert at Menchies. It felt amazing to just have a really good laugh in the middle of the week.

Photos taken from the Alexander Wang and Balenciaga website

I've been eying the Alexander Wang Rocco (left) for a very long time, but I've had doubts about the weight and overall shape of the bag.  I've heard some complaints about how all the contents seem to roll towards the middle of the bag, creating a sag.  Since PN has strongly argued against having another Balenciaga City (seriously, have you ever seen a more perfect colour combination than the Bordeaux with gold hardware?!), I've turned my eye to the Alexander Wang Emile (right). I love that the rose gold hardware is not so 'in your face,' yet it really is what makes the bag. The double handle is a huge plus. I love how structured it looks, but this could just be due to stuffing. I'll definitely have to make an in-store trip to check this bad boy out.

What are you thoughts on each of these bags? I'd love to have some more input!

I'm in love with you but the vibe is wrong

Zara blazer (newer version here), H&M button-up

Last week, I managed to snag myself a (third!) job in a slightly more conservative work setting. I've been tossing and turning at night trying to put together cute, feminine outfits to wear. They never really turn out how I had pictured them the night before, so I decided to give myself a break (and a good night's rest) and took a more masculine approach. Being a boy just seems so easy sometimes!

Tension is here between who you are and who you could be

For whatever reason, I really thought that these pants were a rusty red when I initially bought them over the past weekend.. so I was a bit surprised to pull them out of the bag and realize that they were brown! Nonetheless, I've been on the prowl for slouchy trousers, and this pair fit my criteria. They are the perfect length when cuffed, the waist sits at the right place, and they are fitted (yet loose) enough around the bum area without making me look like I'm wearing a saggy diaper. The 30% price off price tag also helped a bit!

And in case you think I had forgotten: the winner of the limited edition Lancome Luxe Box is (insert drum roll here)... Jerrica Liu! Please email me with your full shipping address, and Loose Button will happily ship out your Luxe Box. Once again, a huge thank you to all those who voted for me and entered the contest. Keep your eye out for future giveaways!

If I surround myself with positive things, I'll gain prosperity

You know the saying 'if you don't use it, you lose it?'  I'm starting to believe that it's true! I haven't done an outfit post (or any post, for that matter) in ages, and I think it's partially because I've gotten in to a habit of wearing such casual clothes that I'm actually slightly embarrassed to even bother taking photos. I kind of slipped in to a funk, styling wise, so as a little pick-me-up, I purchased these flats from Zara. I've been looking for shoes with an ankle strap, and although I was initially looking for something with a bit of heel, I'm definitely pleased with these. With a 50% off price tag combined with the fact that these were the last pair in my size, all signs were pointing to 'full speed ahead!'
