No more wasting time, you can't wait for life

I've used my fair share of mascaras, from low-end to high-end, and I've found that the best results come from drug store brands.  When I saw that the Maybelline Voluminous False Lashes mascara was on sale at Shoppers, I quickly grabbed a box of the waterproof formula in 'Blackest Black.'

1. Top left: bare lashes curled. I consider myself to fall in the middle of the spectrum when it comes to my natural lashes. They're not long, but they're not short. Sparse, but not to the point where they're invisible.
2. Top right: one coat. My lashes are definitely darker and longer.
3. Bottom left: two coats. My inner corner lashes have gotten a serious boost.
4. Bottom right: three coats. My lashes are longer AND thicker, without the spidery/clumpy effect that multiple layers of mascara tend to give you.

After an entire day of wear (8+ hours, including volleyball!), my lashes were still curled but there was a bit of smudging on the bottom outer corners.  I've worn the mascara on the bottom lashes as well, but the amount of smudging does not get worse. Of course, the mascara had no chance in the shower and I came out with raccoon eyes. However, most people know that you don't purchase waterproof formulas because you actually believe that they're waterproof; they just tend to hold curls a lot better.

Final verdict? Best $8 I've ever spent!

i'm totally all about drugstore mascara since my lashes are so short it's not worth splurging $25+ for one. glad to see this one really works!! on my next to-buy list

Wow, there's definitely a difference! I'm a big drugstore mascara kind of gal after realizing that many of the expensive brands were overhyped. Cover Girl and Maybelline all the way!
