Well you're alright but darling, I'm here to enjoy the party

What I'm wearing: Costa Blanca cardigan, Forever21 blouse, American Eagle jeggings, Tory Burch Reva flats (not shown)

This picture makes me laugh, haha. My camera caught me in a 'whip my hair' moment.

Thank you guys sooo much for your help in regards to my ALDO shoes (this post). I've decided to keep the shoes for now. ALDO recently revised their return policy, and there's no time limit for returns/exchanges. I will take some of your advice and try to break them in before wearing them out by wearing multiple pairs of socks. This should hopefully do the trick! I'm already dying to wear them out.

I've had a pretty uneventful reading week... PN has gone to Cuba with some friends for a week, and it was pretty hard dropping him off. He'll be having some fun in the sun while I study for the four midterms that I've got coming up when we return to school, :(.

I'd love to know what you guys LOVE to do ALONE.. leave me some comments! Personally, I actually love to shop by myself. No pressure from anything, and I can take my sweet time going up and down every aisle and looking at every piece. I do my best shopping when I'm alone! What about you guys?

If it was time to put in work, would you be down to ride?

This is the last little bit from my New York haul! I stopped by The Loft, and I instantly fell in love with the fit of their petite line. They had a large number of pants on sale, not that many shirts/sweaters, but it was okay by me! I picked up three pairs, and they are actually all in the  same style, called the Marisa pant. I'm a small girl, but I'm more of a medium built petite. I snagged these in a size 0P.

They fit perfectly at the waist, but they do make me appear a bit wider in the hips due to the pockets. There is some slight wrinkling in the rear-end area, but I always experience this in most pants, and at least it was very minimal. Slim through the thigh and calf area, these ended right at my ankles without any alteration. For those of you who are wondering, I stand at about 5'4". The slim leg opening means that this is the perfect length. If they were flared, I think it would give me the 'flood pants' look.

Hope you guys enjoyed the long weekend!

I'm asking twenty one questions and they're all about us

I recently purchased these ALDO pumps with its beautiful crochet overlay and chunky wooden heel. I was browsing the website, and the model on the front page was wearing these and I instantly fell in love. They look totally cute with socks on too, which is a bonus! I would style these with patterned ankle socks rather than these H&M knee high ones, which is all I have at the moment.

One slight problem... The size 7s (which I'm wearing in the photo) are a tad too tight, while the size 8s are a tad too big. The 7s pinch a bit under the ankle bone (which I can fix by loosening the buckle), and they feel like they'll pinch my pinky toe if I wear them for longer periods. I've always said that you should never buy something if it doesn't fit, but I just couldn't help myself! What do you guys think? Keep the 7s, go for the 8s, or just return?

Steal some covers, share some skin

Sorry for the faceless shot. Outfit photo was taken at 1 in the morning, which means everything from the neck up was a hot mess!

A reader asked me where I got my fleece tights from, and I purhcased them from this seller on Ebay. I purchased 3 pairs (one for my mom, two for me). Shipping took some time as the seller is based in Korea, but it was seriously worth the wait! They're of decent quality.. It definitely feels like it will pill over time, and the hem on one leg actually ripped the first time I put it on.

I layer two pairs over each other, and I'm sooooo toasty warm. For those of you who remember the nice bit of warm weather on Friday (when I wore this outfit), it turned pretty nasty at night. The wind speed was insane! I wore the two pairs of leggings, and I honestly didn't feel a thing from the waist to the ankles. I was actually warmer on my bottom half, despite wearing a winter jacket and a scarf!

What I'm wearing: GAP blouse, Zara belt, Ebay fleece tights, House of Harlow earrings (not shown), ALDO booties (not shown)

It's all about drama, and love, and 'lationships

Happy Valentine's day everyone! I know many people use this day as an excuse to pull out all the stops; flowers, chocolate, cards, the whole shebang. However, I like to believe that people are romantic every day of the year. PN, for example, walks me to my door every time he drops me off, and doesn't drive off until I am inside and have shut the door.

I hope that everyone spends the day with someone they love, whether it be a significant other, a parent, a sibling, or a great friend! As for myself, I am battling a bad cough while preparing for a midterm tomorrow, but I managed to snag a little time with PN when he dropped off some flowers. :)

♥♥ x 1000 to all!

What I'm wearing: Aritzia nude tunic, Forever21 knit cardigan, Ebay fleece tights, Tiffany& Co. pearl earrings

Sleepless long nights, that is what my youth is for

Just a continuation of my previous haul post from New York, this time, featuring Gap.

I bought another pair of jeggings, although they weren't really advertised as so. A pair of gray cargo pants. There's no zipper/button, so you have to pull these on, which is reaaaally hard considering there's barely any stretch to the waist. I have to do a big dance number to wiggle these on. As you can see, it's a snug fit around the butt area, then it loosens up a bit as you move through the thighs, then tightens back up again around the calves.

Also picked up two blouses, shown here in two really awkward photos haha. The one on the left is actually a nice muted taupe colour that leans towards lavender. I know it looks really plain and ugly like that, but it actually looks great tucked in to a skirt/pair of pants. The one on the right is a nice cream colour with a really cute bow detail that you can tie yourself. It's loose and flowy as well, also great tucked in to bottoms.

Guess who will be writing three midterms for her birthday? :(

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair

I went to Syracuse, NY over the past weekend to visit my sister, who is currently living there for school. Obviously, we headed to the local mall to do some serious sale shopping! I'll do this haul in small doses, since I'm in dire need of some blogging material.

I picked up a pair of American Eagle jeggings. These are my first pair, and I'm slightly impressed! I had nothing against the jegging idea, but I never thought I'd own one. My mom owning two pairs made me even more against purchasing a pair, but I'm glad I did. I love that they look like jeans, but they have the flexibility of leggings (at least in the leg area). I grabbed these in a 00R. They're slightly snug, but my experience with jeans is that they ALWAYS stretch out, so it's best to get them one size down.

I finally broke my Forever21 ban! I can't even remember the last time I set foot in the store. My mom and my sister wanted to drop in though, so I couldn't resist! I picked up this amazing waterfall knit cardigan. I love the 'grandpa' look of it, and it has the perfect amount of slouch. Unfortunately, it feels like it will pill easily, so I do have to be extra careful with this. I also picked up a pair of high-waisted linen shorts in XS. Forever21 is usually a hit or miss with small sizing, and this one was a definite hit! No sagginess in the bum area, and the waist didn't cut in to my stomach when I was sitting. The belt was an added bonus!

Happy belated Lunar New Year to everyone who celebrates. I always feel so lethargic in the winter (lack of sunlight/warmth/happiness) and it's hard for me to beat the cold weather blues... Any tips for giving myself a boost in the mood department?

It never ends 'cause all we have to do is hit rewind

This was the first Winterlicious event that PNut and I attended, and I must say it was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. We went to the Old Mill Inn for lunch, and while it looked really nice and rustic from the outside/decor, the meal and service was actually quite terrible. Don't let the edited photos fool you!

Roasted chestnut blend; fresh thyme, birch creme fraiche & leek crisp

Mill House Poutine; sweet potato fritters, maple jus & southern Ontario tallegio

Malted Tempura Perch; sweet potato pont neuf & creamy coleslaw

Mill Mac Crunch; applewood smoked cheddar, sage & onion fritter

Poached Pear Almondine Pot de Creme; bourbon caramel & sesame snap

Decadent Lindt Chocolate Cake; raspberry yogurt gelato & passion fruit coulis

They seated us pretty quick (didn't even ask about reservations), but it took them about half an hour to take our order. Our glasses were dirty and our plates were too. Within an hour, we had only had our appetizers, and it was another 20 minutes before she even took away her dirty dishes. The soup had actually crusted on the plate. We got so impatient that I actually got up from the table to go find our waitress, but it was that exact same time she came out with her entrees. We just asked her right away to bring out our dessert and bill. She knew we were pissed because we didn't say one word to her when she brought our dishes.

The only thing that tasted remotely good was the chestnut soup. The sweet potato fritters were not sweet potatoes at all. The fish literally had no flavour. I tried to lift the pepper shaker to add some oomph to it, but it was actually stuck to the table cloth. When I finally pried it free, there was some gunky brown stuff underneath. I quickly put the shaker back.

We were sooo disappointed! I didn't even leave her a tip (cue bitchy/dirty looks from people). It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for us to finish our meal, despite the fact that the place wasn't even busy, and we were the only ones who weren't eating from a buffet. I honestly felt like we were treated like children. We got put in the corner even though there were tons of open spots. The two walls were actually floor-to-ceiling windows, so we were freezing our butts off. I knew that she even completely forgot about us at one point, because as she was walking around, we made eye contact and she kinda froze and ran back the other way (to get our food). We never even got our glasses filled. PN actually made me leave her 80 cents so I would get a flat number on the bill, and I complied. I was actually angry that I listened, though. The 80 cent tip just told her we were being cheap, when the message I wanted to give her was YOUR SERVICE SUCKS. END RANT.

Oh well, self-fulfilling prophecy and all that. Any one ever have an experience like this at a restaurant? Share your stories!
