The champagne's always cold and the music's always good

I've been showing these pants waaaaay too much love lately. They're surprisingly really thick.  Worn to a (horrible) Winterlicious lunch with PNut. I've been playing around with the Lightroom features, and I'm quite impressed.

What I'm wearing: American Apparel riding pants, Banana Republic blouse, Tiffany & Co. pearl earrings (not shown), ALDO booties (not shown)

Launched a thousand ships in my heart

Dessert night with PN(ut). Downloaded a trial version of Adobe's Lightroom. Pshaw, who needs a DSLR to take artsy looking photos? Photoshop FTW.
I had forgotten how cute my fobby sweater can be! For those who are curious, I'm eating fresh mango with grass jelly. Hope everyone's been keeping warm!

What I'm wearing: Forever21 knitted cardigan, American Apparel riding pants, Tory Burch Reva flats

Note: A few people have inquired into the 'comfortable' factor of the Tory Burch Reva flats. I got them in a size 7.5, and they fit perfectly (in other words, they pinch a bit when first worn). I've started wearing them to try and break them in, but they're not fully stretched out yet. I can tell you that they seriously cut in to the back of your heel at first. I wore it for a 9.5 hour work day, and when I took my shoes off at the end of the night, I had a purple  (!!) line cut across the back of my heels. Also, the foot bone under my pinky toe was being rubbed raw. After about a month of wearing it (twice a week), they are no longer that painful to wear. They still do cut in to the back of my heels, bu the line is no longer purple, but my foot bone is still being rubbed. I would suggest wearing them around the house with two pairs of socks on to do some serious stretching. A lot of people might just save themselves the time and buy a size up, but the 8 felt waaaaaaay too loose (ie my heel would slip out every time I walked). Hope this information helps!

We are what we have been waiting for

PN and I watched 'The Fighter' today starring Mark Wahlberg.  I must say I'm pleasantly surprised with Amy Adams! I've always imagined her as such a sweet and innocent girl (she's starred in Disney's Enchanted, as well as Julie & Julia), so it was a nice change to see her play such a hard ass... I'm very impressed. The love/hate relationship that most people experience with their family was portrayed very well in this film (at least in my opinion).

On a more depressing note, the weather hit -20 degrees Celsius today and my body was in serious panic mode when I was outside. I despise Canadian winters.

If you really need me like you say you need ne, baby better show me

Thank goodness for my circle scarf. This is honestly how I've been wearing it with the recent drop in temperatures here in Toronto, with the fur hood on my jacket thrown ontop... My grandpa fell in love with my fur hat that I purchased from H&M and am wearing in this post, so I never got a chance to wear it out, :(.

PS, I never realized how exhausted I looked until these photos, x_x.

What good is a rainbow without my pot of gold

This is going to be a huge collective haul from the past few months, plus gifts from Christmas. I've tried to include as many links as possible.

From American Apparel:

I'm seriously lacking in the derriere department, and the riding pant/disco pant give me some seeeeerious boost. The leg opening is extreeeemely tight. I always struggle to stick my feet in/take my feet out.

From H&M:

I've been on a serious crop-top kick lately, which is terrible timing considering the weather. First one has those cute 'grandpa' elbow patches, second one is a nice cozy sweater material, while the third is in the ever-popular 'burn out' texture. Last item is a cute poncho that I got on sale. It has a nice cowl-neck. I'm imagining wearing this over a crazy patterned top for a nice peekaboo effect!

Zara and American Eagle:

These trousers are really cute, but I have to admit they do fit a bit weird and I feel the tiniest twinge of regret for tossing the receipt. It comes with a skinny brown leather belt. Like I said, I have no ass, so I don't fill these pants out as nicely as I want to, but I love the 'loose hip/tight ankle' look. The leg opening for these is also quite small, and they often get stuck/bunched up around my calves. The two tops from American Eagle are some basic staples, and I'm a fan of the waffle-pattern.

From Banana Republic:

The jacket in the first picture also came in all black, which is always chic and in, but I loved the collar in a different colour, so I opted for this more casual version. I definitely need to iron the blouse before I wear it.

Miscellaneous:

L to R: leopard print Snuggie, i love my muff maintenance kit, 2010 olympic mitts, House of Harlow jewelry, Yoshi slippers, Tory Burch reva flats

Wow, talk about a long post... but I'm glad I finally got this one out! School starts for me tomorrow (but I don't have class until Tuesday), but many people returned last week. Anyone ready for winter to be over already?!

Got a jagged, gorgeous winter from a summer's thread

Add a black lapel to my cardigan and I could totally pass for Hugh Hefner. Something so small as rolling up the cuffs makes such a huge difference in an outfit.

What I'm wearing: Costa Blanca cardigan, American Eagle l/s thermal, Zara trousers, American Apparel belt, Tory Burch reva flats, House of Harlow earrings
