Had an amazing night with these lovely ladies that involved a lot of raw oysters and laughs. No matter how much time lapses in between date nights with the girls, it always feel as if we just saw each other last week. No awkward silences or small talk needed here!
It's been a long time since I used my point and shoot for an outfit photo.. so please ignore the random plastic bag and miscellaneous background items, haha. Hope every enjoys the rest of their weekend!
The best place to go to when you want to kill time is Pacific Mall. My favourite beef ball stall closed down, so PN and I settled for some freshly made egg waffle. We also finally got to try the new fro-yo stall, called Yutopia. It's basically a 'build your own' type of place. The flavours they had were original tart, chocolate, taro, and strawberry cheesecake. They also had an assortment of different toppings that you can add yourself, and you pay by the ounce. I seriously love coming to this place with no expectations in mind and just exploring every aisle.
The supposed storm we were supposed to have in Toronto disappeared, and we were left with amazingly warm weather. PN and I took advantage and headed downtown to explore Queen Street, and get our grub on (of course).
1. Godiva truffles in pistachio, strawberry, almond crunch, and mint chocolate.
What I'm wearing: Zara leather jacket and t-shirt, H&M bow belt & sandals, Forever21 maxi dress as skirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch, bracelets from Cuba and House of Harlow
PN and I had a fabulous midweek date, which we spent outdoors exploring Toogood Pond. Even though it was a cloudy day, there were other families there taking photos, feeding the ducks, and generally exploring. I should've known that the warm weather was too good to be true.. it's supposed to rain for the next 8 days, :(.
My first attempt at colour blocking! Not as hard as I thought it would be.. I've been really attracted to bright colours lately, and it doesn't help my poor wallet that great pieces have been popping up everywhere. What's your favourite bright colour to wear?
Had an amazing date day with PN that involved a lot of food, Monopoly Deal, and glow in the dark mini-golf. Toronto's been having amazing weather as of late, and I hope this warm streak continues. This skirt has been receiving some major love in the blogosphere, so I was excited when it came back in stock on the Forever21 website... Too bad it doesn't fit, :(. I had to cinch the waist in with a belt, and for some reason the lining is longer then the skirt itself! I purchased this in the navy colour as well, so it's safe to say the darker colour will be making a trip back to the store.
I've been pleasantly surprised by Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 pieces, and I've started collecting them over a year ago. While I don't love every single piece, I like enough of them that I always check out their counter when I'm at Holt Renfrew. These are a bit pricey for costume jewelry, but the gold plated classic pieces are definitely worth investing in.
My recommendations (which I also own, haha) if you're looking to invest in a great beginner statement piece:
These pieces are wildly popular. If you ever see these in store and are debating over whether or not to purchase, make up your mind fast! I've only ever seen each of these pieces once in store, and I purchased them right away. A week later, they were sold out, which gave me a mental 'good job!' for buying them when I did, haha.
Hey guys, I've updated the blog shop! I'm now selling clothes, accessories, jewelry, and cosmetics. Prices are negotiable (within a reasonable range) on purchases with multiple items. Help a sista out and visit the new shop here!
I took advantage of Holt Renfrew's promotion (25% of your purchase on a gift card) and walked away with this deliciously cute new clutch/messenger style bag. It's the Marc by Marc Jacobs Kitty St. James clutch. While it wasn't what I was initially looking for, I knew I would regret if I didn't leave with it. I also left with another item that my dear PN gifted me, which I tweeted about here.
Here's a closer look at the t-shirt I'm wearing. It's currently sold out at Hide & Seek, but all proceeds from the sale of this shirt are donated to Japan earthquake/tsunami relief funds.
